I have found breastfeeding to be my greatest ally in my travels with a baby. It provides a completely sterile and sanitary source of the most nutritious food possible for baby, protecting baby from contaminants or pathogens that could cross into food or water. It provides baby with an immunity boost, and can help re-hydrate a baby or toddler that has traveler’s diarrhea. It can comfort and soothe a baby or toddler exhausted from long travel, lull a baby to sleep during take-off or landing and relieve painful ear pressure. It can help gently adjust baby to jet lag a new time zone. Breastfeeding is a traveling momma’s best friend.
